H.S.A. Membership Drive 2014-15
The focus of Byrd School’s Home & School Association is to contribute to the maintenance of high quality education at the Richard E. Byrd School. The H.S.A. assists by providing funding for activities that enrich our children’s elementary school experience but are not funded by the school district’s budget. In 2014, the H.S.A. provided tablets for each grade and a bottle filler station to replace the water fountain.
As part of your $15 membership, each family will receive a copy of the invaluable H.S.A. Handbook, which includes important school district info as well as the names, addresses and phone numbers of all the families in the entire Glen Rock District.
Return this form, along with a check to the H.S.A. box at the Byrd main office. Envelopes should be marked “H.S.A. MEMBERSHIP.” NEW THIS YEAR, you
can also pay through the Community Pass website for Glen Rock Byrd School HSA!
It will be live on Thursday morning, so you can go to https://register.communitypass.net If you have any questions, please contact Lisette Carillo, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
BYRD LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS
Library volunteers are an important part of the Byrd Media Center Program. They help check the books in and out, shelve and organize books, assist students when needed, and perform a variety of other tasks. This year, we are hoping to have three volunteers per class who will come in on a rotating basis. A lottery will be held if more than three people volunteer for a class. We will hold on to all names in case there is an opening during the school year. A one-time training session will be mandatory for all new volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering, please check available times and return the required form to the school by September 11.
